Clomipramine Treatment in Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder A Report of Two Cases

Abstract
|
|
|
We report two cases in which clomipramine(CMI) proved to be effective in treatment resistant obsessive compulsive disorder. These two patients were characterized by various obsessive-compulsive symptoms,
along with marked depression and social withdrawal.
After increasing CMI to a maximal daily dosage of 150mg (Case 1) and 250mg (Case 2 ) over a period of 12 and 4 weeks, respectively, their obsessive-compulsive symptoms as well as depressed mood significantly improved. These case reports point out the availability of CMI in some obsessive -compulsive patients.
